Double WorldSBK Champion Jonathan Rea has been made a Member of the British Empire in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

The Castletown resident has dominated the series for the last two seasons and looks on course for a record third consecutive title.

He joins Steve Webster and Tony Hewitt, Maria Costello, Joey Dunlop and Carl Fogarty as racers to be made an MBE.
