Assen British Supersport race winner Luke Jones has signed to join the Appleyard Macadam team for the 2017 season.

Jones will have his first opportunity to evaluate the team’s Yamaha R6 at Thruxton this weekend with the NG Road Racing Club, before completing the 2016 season at Brands Hatch onboard his Triumph the following weekend.

“We have been talking with the team for a while now and I’m really excited to try the Appleyard Macadam Yamaha R6 and begin the groundwork for next season,” said Jones.

“It was great to finally thank my long-term sponsors and supporters with a win at Assen and I’m extremely grateful to my family and everyone who has helped me to this point in my career.

“I believe that with the R6 package and support of the Appleyard Macadam team, we can be consistent challengers next season and can’t wait to start testing.”
