KTM test rider Mika Kallio will make his fourth MotoGP appearance of the season after securing a wildcard at the Valencia finale.

Kallio, who is firmly in the frame to replace struggling Bradley Smith next year, has impressed in his three appearances so far with a best of tenth at the Red Bull Ring.

At last weekend’s Aragon race, the Finn finished in 11th place but was evaluating a new frame and other parts. He was just pipped to a top-ten spot by team-mate Pol Espargaro.
