Kennedy switches to Appleyard Yamaha for 2018 Supersport charge

Jack Kennedy has switched to the 2017 British Supersort title-winning Appleyard Yamaha team for the 2018 season.

Dubliner Kennedy is one of the 600cc class leading lights having competed successfully in the British and World series, and gained his first podium and race win with the Yorkshire squad, during his first stay seven years ago.

“I’m very happy to be joining Appleyard Macadam Integro for 2018, thanks to Robin and Yamaha for the opportunity.  I really think we can put a strong campaign together and compete for the title," said Kennedy.

"On a personal note, it was good to be winning races in British Supersport again this season but consistency is the key to winning a championship and I feel this package can offer me that 2018.  I can’t wait to get going on the new Yamaha R6 in testing in Spain in January.”

He will be joined in the team by youngster Brad Jones who moves up from Superstock 600 with a 2017 race win under his belt.
