Padgett’s have added 27-year-old Dan Kneen to their 2015 Classic TT line-up and have pulled out a 750cc Yamaha OW01 from their cache of historic racing bikes for the Manxman to use in the Formula 1 race.

Kneen missed last year's event due to injury and he's relishing the chance to ride another of the team's machines at the Classic TT.

“It’s an original bike that Rob McElnea rode to third place in the World Superbike round at the Hungaroring in 1989,” said team boss Clieve Padgett.

“It won’t do the lap speeds that Bruce and Michael Dunlop are achieving because it’s only a 750, but it’s part of Dan’s learning curve on the Isle of Man.”
