Laguna WorldSBK: Denning keeps feet on the ground after recent wins

Pata Yamaha WorldSBK boss Paul Denning is keeping expectations in check ahead of this weekend's Laguna Seca round after riders Michael van der Mark and Alex Lowes won the last three our of four races.

The California track has not been a happy hunting ground for the works Yamaha team and Denning says the squad are keen to keep up the momentum but their feet are firmly on the ground.

"We've been here with the Yamaha in 2016 and 2017 and it has been a challenge to get as much performance from the package as we wanted to," said Denning.

"We have arrived very much feet on the ground and we're looking to keep the great momentum but equally to keep expections in check. We'll work hard and see where we end up.

"Although we've won the last three out of four races, there's not the feeling we are going to repeat that everywhere. We will work hard and try to get as close to the top guys as we can. The crews are experienced, they know how it's got to be and so do the riders."
