Linfoot to make Suzuka Eight-Hours debut with Moriwaki Motul Team

Dan Linfoot will make his maiden Suzuka Eight-Hours appearance and will compete for the Moriwaki Motul Racing team at the prestigious event.

The MCE British Superbike regular will have a familiar team-mate when he lines up on the starting grid. The Honda Racing man will have former multiple BSB champ Ryuichi Kiyonari in his garage and joining them is Yuki Takahashi, and they will run on Pirelli tyres.

Moriwaki Racing returned to the pinnacle of Japanese racing in the JSB1000 class last season, developing the brand new 2017 CBR1000RR Moriwaki Special to aim for the top spot at the iconic race.

“I’ve always wanted to do it so I’m looking forward to it. The chance came up quite late and I jumped at it. I’ve never been to Suzuka before, so I’m heading out to do a test between Juy 11th and 13th. It’s mega to be teaming up with Kiyo and Yuki Takahashi, so a big thanks to the Moriwaki team for giving me the chance,” said Linfoot.

“I’ve never done any endurance racing before so I’ve got a lot to learn about race strategy and stuff like that. I’ll just take it as it comes and use it as a big learning experience. The team have good form and the other two riders are of a really good calibre so it should be good, but I’ve a lot to learn”
