Reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez is ‘in no rush’ to make a decision over his 2019-2020 contract but says staying at Honda is his priority.
The little Spaniard has been with HRC for his entire MotoGP career and it would be a brave man to bet against him remaining for another two years even though a Red Bull-backed, big money move to KTM has been the subject of much speculation over the past six months.
“I will always look for the best sporting option for me and I’ve always said Honda will be the first I listen to and they always have priority. That’s what my body and heart asks for, they’re the ones who gave me the opportunity,” said Marquez.
“But you always need to know how to listen to and pay attention to other factories. With Honda we have spoken, talking about a few things, at the moment there is no rush but if it comes up we will see.”
