‘Massive’ electronics change boosts MV’s Camier

MV Agusta’s Leon Camier bagged a brace of top-ten finishes on the F4-RC at Assen World Superbike round after a big change to the electronics saw him able to finally challenge for a points haul.

The former British Superbike Champion is in the middle of a development year with the iconic Italian marque and says more changes are to come, especially with the chassis and engine.

“We know we have made quite a bit of progress already. In the second race especially, I felt like I made a good start, made some really big passes early on and felt like I was riding really well. The chassis was working well and I was really happy with the way things were working,” said Camier.

“This weekend we have changed the electronics massively. I now feel we are starting to get on top of things and it was working a lot more like I want. Now we need to work a lot with the engine and also chassis, for qualifying; to get more out of the qualifying tyre, we will change the chassis a bit. As soon as we get more power, it is going to hurt the chassis again, and then we need to change the electronics. So it all takes time, but it’s encouraging and I’m really happy with the way things went.”
