Moto2 top five the aim for Sam Lowes

Speed Up’s Sam Lowes is already focusing on his second season in the Moto2 Championship and has the top five as his aim for 2015. It has been a challenging rookie season in the class for the Lincolnshire lad but he saw this season as a learning curve.

He did not have an easy time in Moto2 in 2014, and experienced bike issues, and had a few crashes, but he did have a confident end to the season – even finishing inside the top eight in Valencia. Now he hopes he can carry that form into the next testing sessions early next year.

“It has not been my best season in Moto2 in 2014, and I know the team and I will be better for next year. The last three races were not too bad and using that information that bike can get better over the winter. I had to have this year and it was always going to be a tough year and there are positives that I can take from it,” said Lowes, speaking to bikesportnews.com.

“I will go back testing in February and I want to get on the podiums and if I can finish top five in the world championship next year that can open doors for me. I don’t feel that I am being unrealistic, and I will keep working hard.”
