Repsol Honda MotoGP veteran Dani Pedrosa has likened parts of Circuit of America’s surface to a motocross track as he and a lot of other riders struggle to contend with the bumps.
Pedrosa was backed up by team-mate Marc Marquez while Pol Espargaro nearly fell foul of the surface as the rear of his KTM was flung sideways in FP2 and it was all he could do to simply run off the track.
“The track this year is incredibly bumpy. There are a few points where the bumps are huge, in the braking points for turn one, five, six and ten, when we move to the left, and on the back straight it’s like a whoop section in motocross,” said Pedrosa.
