MotoGP Germany: I don’t know what we can expect from the race – Dovizioso

Andrea Dovizioso has said he doesn’t know what to expect from tomorrows MotoGP race at the Sachsenring.

The Italian came through Q1 to end up qualifying in the middle of the second row in between the two factory Movistar Yamaha duo of Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi. Dovi said that he was happy with his lap time and overall performance in qualifying on a track he finds always difficult.

"In the qualifying we did a really good lap time it was very difficult," said Dovizioso.

"In the Sachsenring it’s always difficult because you do have extra grip within your tyre have to be very smooth and it’s not easy to make the perfect lap. I’m happy because at the end we are fast."

With so many questions about the longevity of the tyres this weekend, Dovizioso said that he thinks that if you pick the wrong tyre, it may end up completely falling away.

"I don’t know what we can expect for the race," he said.

"I have the feeling from the middle of the race to the end the tyre will be completely finished so the race will change a lot.”
