Sam Lowes will return to the Moto2 class next season after signing a deal today to ride for the Garageplus CarXpert Interwetten team.
Lowes lost his Aprilia MotoGP seat to Scott Redding a couple of weeks ago after the Italian manufacturer exercised a break clause in his contract.
The Isle of Man resident will replace Tom Luthi in the squad after the Swiss bagged the last Marc VDS MotoGP slot alongside Franco Morbidelli.
“We are so happy to welcome Sam in our family. It’s a great opportunity for both sides and we are looking forward to a great teamwork with him in the coming season,” said team boss Fred Corminboeuf.
