Former MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo has hit out at works Ducati team-mate Andrea Dovizioso, accusing him of mind games and trying to undermine the Spaniard's morale.

Lorenzo, who hasn't even begun contract talks with the Bologna factory, continues to have a tough time on the GP18, ending the first day of practice in 17th place - albeit only one place behind his stablemate.

"Dovi is very intelligent, isn't he? He basically knows everything," said a sarcastic Lorenzo.

"Dovi has always, during my whole career, tried to undermine my morale. And he's still doing it as my team-mate, that's nothing new to me. He's always trying it, if you look at him. It's the relationship he has through the press with me. But it's all okay."
