Tyco BMW’s Guy Martin will not return to racing at this year’s Southern 100 on the Isle of Man.

There had been plenty of speculation the Lincolnshire rider, who missed this year’s TT to take part in a big mountain bike race, would be back on his S1000RR on the Billown Circuit but this has proven to not be the case.

Ulster Grand Prix boss Noel Johnston is hopeful that Martin will ride at Dundrod in August, the scene of the crash that forced him out of action.
