City Lifting/RS Racing’s Tom Booth-Amos took a strong HEL Performance British Motostar win at Oulton Park, and now has a 25 point advantage in the championship standings.
But there was drama with a crash on the opening lap, which resulted in the race being shortened to 11 laps. Booth-Amos started well and nabbed the holeshot, but RS Racing's Jake Archer, E15 Racing's Eugene McManus and GA Competition Racing's Taz Taylor were hot on his tail.
Booth-Amos was able to edge ahead and gained pace throughout the 11-lapper to gain a lead of three seconds. The battle for second went between McManus and Taylor, with the Randalstown rider grabbing second, with Taylor completing the podium.
In the Standard class, Wilson Racing's Max Cook took the victory, with Moto Rapido's Thomas Strudwick and JJ Racing's Jack Scott in third. In the overall standing's, Strudwick is second with Cameron Horsman currently in third.
