Oulton BSB: Ellison rides through fractured wrist pain

MCAMS Yamaha’s James Ellison has revealed he had to ride through the pain of a fractured wrist at the Oulton MCE British Superbike round and said it was ‘one of his toughest weekends ever’.

The Kendal native crashed at Silverstone last week, fracturing his wrist and damaging ligaments, and the physical nature of Oulton proved too much with virtually zero recovery time.

“Possibly one of my toughest weekends ever After half race distance my body just didn't have any more left in it,” said Ellison.

“Damaged ligaments and a fracture to my ulna from Silverstone last week, just wasn't quite ready for 18 laps around Oulton Park. No one can say we didn't try. Lots of work now to get fit for Assen.”
