JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s Luke Mossey will not take part in the second MCE British Superbike race at Oulton Park this afternoon.
The Riders Cup contender high-sided at the last round at Silverstone where he irritated injuries that he sustained during a big crash at Thruxton, where he fractured vertebrae and had to miss the round at Cadwell Park.
The young-gun did take part in the free practice session this weekend and qualifying too, but he retired after a few laps in the opening race at the Cheshire track this afternoon as he did not want to risk anything in the wet conditions.
Mossey will return for the next BSB round at Assen and the final round at Brands Hatch, but for this race weekend he is still suffering from his back injury from Thruxton.
