Oulton BSB: O'Halloran eyeing back-to-back podium visits

Honda Racing's Jason O'Halloran is eyeing another visit to the Bennetts British Superbike podium this weekend to match the one he scored at Brands Hatch last time out.

The Australian spent a majority of the Oulton Park test working on different parts and settings, so didn't do a time-attack lap but is confident the team have a setup that can put him in the top three.

"Brands Hatch was really good for us and it felt good being back on the podium for sure. We made good progress all weekend and in the first race it all came together. I had a really good feeling with the bike and I felt really confident," said O'Halloran.

"It was a shame we went for the wrong tyre choice in race two which ended our race, but it was still a positive weekend and I left there feeling happy.

“The Oulton Park test was a good one, although on the timesheets we were not as high up the order; we had a lot of work to get through and we were back-to-back testing different areas and they was really constructive.

"It was important for us to get through that, so we didn’t have time to put in a new tyre at the end to try and do a lap, but we know we have some good momentum and a good place to start now this weekend.

“Because of that, I am really looking forward to the weekend ahead and trying to fight for the podium again; we have a good pace and I believe we can be back up at the sharp end again this weekend. I can’t wait to get started.”
