Broc Parkes has been drafted in to replace Stuart Easton in the ePayMe Yamaha squad for the rest of the 2016 season and will ride alongside John Hopkins at Brands Hatch next weekend.
Parkes has a strong history on the Grand Prix circuit, scoring a double podium finish as a wildcard in 2009, and is feeling confident ahead of his return to the Kent track following an appearance for Yamaha in the Suzuka Eight-Hours this weekend.
“I am really happy to be coming back to the championship with the ePayMe Yamaha team because I feel like we have some unfinished business after Snetterton. I think for me it couldn’t be a better track to come back to, as I have had World Supersport race wins and also podiums in BSB on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit,” said Parkes.
“I feel that I instantly gelled with the team at Snetterton and we had a really good pace throughout free practice and qualifying so I know what we can do, it was just really unfortunate I couldn’t show it in the races as I got taken out on the first lap. I want to come back and prove I am capable of being up there fighting in BSB and I want to gain the respect so I can try and return next season alongside racing in the World Endurance series.”
