Quinns IMR BMW considering mid-season Superbike switch

Pirelli National Superstock front-runners Quinnstheprinters.com BMW by IMR are considering a mid-season switch to the Superbike class which could happen before the Knockhill round.

Team boss Ian Moffitt has taken part in several meeting with title sponsor Quinns Printing and it seems the firm are keen on the benefits the blue riband class would bring.

"We have looked carefully at the pros and cons, and budgets, associated with the Bennetts British Superbike Championship and it looks like something we are capable of making work sooner rather than later," Moffitt told bikesportnews.com this afternoon.

"Quinns are opening more and more premises across the country and are keen on the media exposure taking part in BSB would bring. Nothing yet is set in stone as there are more conversations to be had but it is definitely something that is more likely to happen than not."

Moffitt is already in the process of speaking to riders while remaining committed to Jordan Gilbert in Superstock 1000.
