Reeves back to World Sidecar with Carl Cox backing

Tim Reeves and passenger Mark Wilkes will go back to World Sidecar competition in 2018 complete with backing from Carl Cox.

The pair have returned from testing their new outfit in France and are confident they can challenge for an eighth world title.

With substantial support from Gunther Reuschling of Prof. Dr. Sallmon a new Yamaha YZF-R6 powered Adolf RS ‘long wheelbase’ outfit has been built by Rudi Smit and Adrian Kornas.

The charioteering duo are fully revved up for the seven round FIM Sidecar World Championship which kicks off at Le Mans in April and finishes at Oschersleben in October. Reeves has already taken an incredible seven world championship titles and Wilkes is no stranger to the scene, having finished third in the series last season.

The Reeves/Wilkes partnership will also be campaigning a short wheelbase LCR outfit at the Isle of Man TT, again supported by motorsport fanatic Cox, and schedule permitting will take in some British Championship rounds, after dominating the 2017 series.

“The ‘long bike’ felt great in testing and we’re really fired up to be taking it into battle in the World Championship. It should be an interesting year with a nice spread of circuit and nations, it would have been good to have a British round also of course. Another big thanks to Carl and his team for backing us in the World Championship and TT, it would be great to bring them home some more silverware," said Reeves.
