Moto2 title challenger Alex Rins will undergo surgery in Spain today after breaking his collarbone in a pitbike crash.
The young Spaniard is hopeful he will be able to ride at Silverstone if he gets the operation over with quickly, so will see Dr Mir at the Clínica Dexeus in Barcelona in order to expedite the process.
"I trained with a 100 cc bike and crashed. At first I could barely feel pain, but when I calmed down, the pain got worse, so we decided to go to the hospital. There, a break was detected in my collarbone. They advised me to have an operation so that I can take part in the Grand Prix at Silverstone," said the Spaniard.
