Rispoli moves up to British Superbikes with Anvil TAG Yamaha in 2016

American youngster James Rispoli will move up to the MCE British Superbike series in 2016 as he partners Billy McConnell in the Anvil TAG Yamaha team.

Rispoli steps up from the Supersport class after two successful years onboard the TTC Yamaha and 2016 will be his first year in the blue-riband Superbike class. Rispoli has impressed since importing himself from the States with a string of podiums in the smaller class, and is excited ahead of the task that the Superbike challenge will bring.

“I’m really pumped for 2016! I’m really pleased to sign with the Anvil Hire Yamaha team for the new season, they’ve already put a lot of work into 2016, and for me to go home, back to America, before Christmas signed for the new season, onboard a Championship winning bike is really awesome,” said the New Hampshire native.

“I think that for me coming in as a rookie on a good package is a scary thing for a lot of people, and I’m really happy that Rob and Tracy has given me the platform for when we’re ready to run at the front and be in that top six. So for me, it’s a great platform for me in my rookie year, and to chase the rookie of the year title.”
