Ryde and Archer spearhead RS Racing GP2 campaign

Kyle Ryde will join the RS Racing team next season to fight for the GP2 crown in the Dickies British Supersport Championship.

The 21-year-old from Nottingham joins Jake Archer the reigning Motostar champion with sponsorship from leading specialist commercial roofing and cladding contractors, Kovara Projects.

“After a couple of seasons in the wilderness so to speak it feels amazing to be going back to the grass roots of my racing with Ryan Saxelby and RS Racing backed by my long term sponsor Kovara Projects," said Ryde.

"I cannot wait to get started in 2019 and look forward to mixing it up with the British Supersport boys. I would like to thank Ryan for this opportunity and all of my sponsors for their continued support in 2019.”

Archer added: “Kyle joining the team is fantastic news as he already has some experience on the GP2 bikes after a brief stint in 2018, I look forward to working alongside him and Ryan in 2019. I would like to thank both Peter, Sheryl and Ryan for their continued support and everyone else involved that makes this all possible.”
