Ryde finds World Supersport seat as Terol’s MV team-mate

Britain’s Kyle Ryde will be in attendance at next weekend’s Donington Park World Superbike round after securing a deal to ride alongside Nico Terol in the Schmidt Racing MV Agusta Supersport team.

Ryde debuted this year on a permanent basis in the World Supersport series and has so far collected six points in the overall standings but was left high and dry when his Team Ranieri Med – SC Racing squad left the championship.

“I am really very happy to be part of the Schmidt Racing Team and to race at Donington Park, which is my home track. For sure it will be hard because the bike and the team are new for me, but I’m sure the team will help me to be competitive right from the first practice and I think I'm lucky to debut at Donington as it’s a track I know very well and that I like,” said Ryde.

“I’ll do my best to take advantage of the great opportunity that I have been offered and for which I want to thank the Schmidt Racing team and all my sponsors, who have made this possible.”
