Former WorldSSP star Kyle Ryde will make his MCE British Superbike debut at Brands Hatch this weekend with the Quattro FS-3 team.
Ryde parted company with the Puccetti Kawasaki squad a couple of days ago after a difficult season and will deputise for the injured Billy McConnell at the Showdown finale.
He has previously been a title contender in the Supersport class, finishing runner-up in the 2015 season after winning the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship in 2014.
“I am so happy that the Quattro Plant FS-3 Kawasaki team have given me this opportunity at Brands Hatch because opportunities like this don’t come about too often,” said Ryde.
“I'm really looking forward to a new chapter and a new beast which the superbike is! I have never ridden one before but I'm sure I can get to grips with it. Hopefully we can have some dry track time before the three big races with the fast lads of the UK. I will be trying my best with no expectations and go into the weekend ready to enjoy myself.”
