Silverstone BSB: Law is crowned Superstock 600 champ

NMT No Limits Kawasaki’s Mason Law wrapped up the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship, after a mature ride saw him cross the line in second place behind Ben Currie.

Law knew he had to win just three points for the championship to be his but he pushed on, not wanting to take the title via a thirteenth place finish.

At the front, Aussie Ben Currie began to break clear and despite a late drive by Law, he held on to take the chequered flag.

Tom Ward completed the podium in an action packed race, taking the chequered flag of Ross Twyman. Andrew Irwin was demoted to fifth after a ten second penalty was handed to him.

Law will be moving on from the Superstock 600 class in 2016 but where he will end up is still unknown.

The Essex lad has World Supersport experience already so he may move onto the World stage.

“I’m absolutely speechless. Thank you so much to everyone that has been there with me, supported and encouraged me,” said Law, on social media this evening.

“My team have been outstanding throughout this 2015 campaign and I'm so happy to share the spoils with them along with my personal sponsors.

“Thanks to my Dad; without him nothing would be possible. And alongside him Andrew Pitt. I'm so incredibly lucky to have such great people around me.”
