Morello Kawasaki’s Danny Buchan nabbed another Pirelli National Superstock 1000 win courtesy of Bennetts Suzuki’s Richard Cooper breaking down with a lap to go.
Diminutive Cooper had lead from the start and was looking comfortable out front before an issue struck with just over a lap to go, allowing Buchan to pass him with ease and stroll to the chequered flag.
Stauff Connect Academy’s Mason Law battled with Buchan during the race but eventually had to settle for second place after also getting past Cooper.
Veteran Michael Rutter also managed to get onto the podium too after luckless Cooper was passed at the final corner. Cooper limped to fourth place, which means Buchan extended his championship lead out to 45 points.
After a strong showing early on, Geordie mathematician Chrissy Rouse drifted back to fifth place; getting the better of Mancunian Adam Jenkinson in the closing stages.
Buildbase Suzuki’s Alex Olsen ended in a lonely seventh, before reigning Superstock 600 champion Jordan Weaving came across the line ahead of Luke Hedger for eighth.
Rounding out the top ten was Floridian James Rispoli aboard his Quattro Plant FS-3 Kawasaki.
