Appleyard Macadam Racing’s Keith Farmer has continued his form from Knockhill a fortnight ago, to take his third consecutive Dickies British Supersport pole.

The Northern Irishman took the double last time out and will be hoping to do the same again, but will face tough competition from Joe Francis and Jack Kennedy, who join him on the front row.

Farmer posted a lap of 1’51.365 with five minutes remaining, pushing Halsall Racing’s Joe Francis down to second after he had jumped to the top of timesheets.

That lap was enough to hang on to pole position, with Francis ending the session a quarter of a second adrift in second place.

Tempus MV Agusta’s Jack Kennedy will start from the outside of the front row after setting his quickest lap in the closing stages of the session.

After having to settle for two seconds place in Scotland, Gearlink Kawasaki’s Andrew Irwin will be out for revenge and after his first Supersport win but will have to do it from the second row of the grid.

The Moto2 machine of Alastair Seeley was fifth quickest followed by the second Gearlink Kawasaki of Ben Currie. The German born Aussie crashed with two minutes to go whilst on what looked to be his fastest lap so could be a dark horse from sixth on the grid.

Northern Irishman David Allingham starts from the third row of the grid, he currently sits second in the standings behind Taz Mackenzie but Farmer is just three points behind so a good performance is needed to hold on.

Completing the third row will be the battered and bruised Bok Bjorn Estment, an impressive performance as he’s still recovering from two broken ribs and punctured lung from a fortnight ago, and in ninth will be Sorrymate.com Yamaha’s Kurt Wigley.
