Snetterton BSB: Westmoreland targets specific setup areas

JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s James Westmoreland wants to reallyt kickstart his season at this weekend’s Snetterton MCE British Suprbike round and has some areas on which he will work from Friday practice.

The professional northerner has struggled to adapt to the big Kawasaki so far but following a test at the Norfolk track, he believes he has a direction in which to take the ZX-10R.

“It’s a circuit I’ve had some good success at over the years, even claiming my first rostrum here in Supersport. Obviously this year hasn’t started quite how we wanted, but the test here in May proved really important as it highlighted some areas of the bike we need to improve to get me more comfortable,” said Westmoreland.

“We’ll be working on these areas from first practice, which hopefully we’ll be able to solve on Friday meaning we can then focus on improving our pace and getting myself and the JG Speedfit Kawasaki up where we belong.”
