’Still problems to be solved’ for Marquez

Reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez got some of his mojo back with second place at the controversial Assen MotoGP round but says there are still some problems with the Repsol Honda RC213V to sort out.

Marquez has found some consistency by mating the 2014 chassis to the 2015 engine, electronics and swingarm, and he was able to take the fight to the Yamahas in Holland over a race distance.

The 2015-spec chassis allowed Marquez to be fast for one lap but its stiffness is not forgiving of errors and the Spaniard finds he can get away with taking more risks with last year’s frame.

"We worked well all weekend in Assen and we have found some positive progression with the bike. There are still some things to solve, but we have definitely made a step forward,” said Marwquez.

“Sachsenring is a small and twisty little circuit, unlike any others on the calendar. I’ve enjoyed good results here in the past and i hope this weekend can prove to be a good weekend for us also. The weather can be tricky there so we will have to work hard from the first session."
