FPW Racing has announced their 2018 HEL Performance British Motostar Championship line-up, returning with young title contenders Taz Taylor and Storm Stacey.
Taylor was runner-up for FPW Racing in the 125GP class in 2014 before switching teams in 2015 impressing with another competitive season to again finish runner-up, this time in the Moto3 GP class. He will contest the 2018 season using the Kalex chassis with factory KTM power, a combination that proved successful for Stacey during last season.
Stacey remains with the team and sees last year’s hard work rewarded with an opportunity to compete using a recently acquired ex-Phillip Oettl KTM RC250R. He will make his return with a pre-season shakedown test at Cartagena in March, incorporating the British Motostar Championship alongside the British Talent Cup.
“I’m really looking forward to rejoining FPW Racing and have high hopes for this season. I’m back and ready to fight for the championship as I’ve some unfinished business from a few years ago, so let’s see what I can do," said Taylor.
Stacey added: “I’m excited about riding the new KTM, excited for a fresh beginning and the new season. I can’t wait to test the bike in Spain, and hopefully have a strong season and challenge for the championship.”
