Thruxton BSB: Tinmouth finds more consistency

Honda Racing’s Jenny Tinmouth is taking positives from a tough weekend at Thruxton’s MCE British Superbike round after some successful work on lap-time consistency at the Hampshire track.

Tinmouth, who revealed on Friday she had been doing stunt work in the Tom Cruise vehicle Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, says she has lots to work on before the Cadwell Park round in the middle of this month.

“Race one was really good and I enjoyed it, I also did a personal best lap time too, which I’m really chuffed with. I was unlucky to come off towards the end, I just got caught out with the bumps at Goodwood and lost the front end, luckily both me and the CBR slid so there wasn’t much damage for the guys to repair before race two,” she said.

“Race two was OK, I’m doing more consistent lap times here than I have in the past so I have to look on the positives, even though I am disappointed for not being higher on the grid. But we have some positives to take with us and will try some things for the next round.”
