Briggs BMW rider Peter Hickman will return to the Isle of Man TT just a couple of weeks after he broke a vertebrae in a fast crash at the Oulton Park MCE British Superbike round.

After a one-day test at Snetterton earlier this week, Hickman feels ready to get back into the groove on the Mountain Course, where he will contest the big bike events on an Superstock-spec S1000RR and Supersport on an MV Agusta.

“I felt pretty good at the Snetterton test, a bit stiff obviously but it was good to get back on the bike again and get myself dialled back in again before coming to the TT,” said Hickman.

“We’ve decided to just use the Superstock BMW for the three 1000cc races as it gives me one less thing to worry about. It’s only my second year and I don’t want to run before I can walk so it makes sense to make it as easy for myself as possible. Now I’m here, I can’t wait to get going and just want to start getting the laps in.”
