Former 500GP rider and WorldSBK Champion Max Biaggi has been flown to hospital in Italy after a Supermoto crash left him with severe but not life threatening injuries.

Biaggi, who is a frequent Supermotard, was riding at the Sagittario track near Rome when he fell. The Roman Emperor was flown to San Camillo Hospital in the capital with thoracic injuries.
