Silicone Racing’s Dean Harrison will take no further part in this 2019 Classic TT after hitting a wall near Doran's Bend yesterday.
The Bradford rider was taking part in Lightweight practice on the Laylaw Yamaha when he suffered some internal injuries and was taken to Nobles Hospital.
“He hit a wall near Ballig with his shoulder. Luckily he managed to stay on the TZ but had to pull in as he was in a lot of pain,” said a team statement.
A visit to Nobles showed up a bunch of internal injuries while not life threatening are serious enough to keep him there for a few days. He is in good spirits and wants to pass on his thanks for all the kind comments.
“Unfortunately his injuries means the fun is over for us at the Classic TT but fingers crossed his recovery goes well for our end of season races.”
It means the much-anticipated clash between Harrison and Dunlop in Monday’s Superbike race will now not happen.
