EHA Racing's Alastair Seeley topped the opening 2019 North West 200 qualifying session today but was kept honest by Ashcourt Racing's Lee Johnston.
Seeley sent his R6 around in a 4'37.073 with similarly-mounted Johnston on a 4'37.255. James Hiller took third spot on his Quattro Kawasaki but 1.1s off the pace with Michael Dunlop, on a Honda, in fourth place.
Dean Harrison took his Silicone Kawasaki to fifth pace, just ahead of Peter Hickman's Trooper Triumph in sixth and 4.146s off the place.
Paul Jordan beat Davey Todd to seventh with Ian Hutchinson and Gary Johnson completing the top ten. Conor Cummins, Derek McGee, Christian Elkin, Michael Sweeney and David Johnson rounded out the top 15.
