2019 Suzuka Eight-Hours: 'Strongest-ever Kawasaki line-up' - Haslam

Kawasaki's Leon Haslam believes the firm's 2019 Suzuka Eight-Hours line-up is the strongest ever with three WorldSBK podium men in the garage.

Haslam and reigning Superbike king Jonathan Rea, who have raced together for the past couple of years, have been joined by Toprak Razgatlioglu who makes his debut at the iconic Japanese event this year.

Quite how many stints the newboy will do is anyone's guess but shouldering the bulk of the riding will be no new thing for Haslam or Rea.

"We are all fast people that go there but it's all about the team, the strategy. Yamaha have won in for the last few years and we have managed to finish second behind them a few times but I know Kawasaki are going all out to do what they can to get on the top step of the podium," said Haslam.

"It's probably the strongest Kawasaki line-up we have ever had. There is a lot more KRT involvement, we have done a few tests this year and honestly I am looking forward to it.

"I know the race really well now and it's a matter of putting yourself in the right place and bringing it home."

For the first time, the team will feature many more of the KRT Superbike squad members, including Pere Riba and electronics whizz Davide Gentile under the watchful eye of manager Guim Roda.
