2020 Macau GP riders facing two-week pre-race quarantine

Riders wanting to take part in the 2020 Macau Grand Prix are staring down the barrel of a two-week quarantine upon arrival in China.

The country’s sports bureau president Pun Weng Kun has said there have been no confirmation of foreign riders due to the Covid19 pandemic and that the traditional F3 races have been cancelled and replaced with F4 using drivers mostly from mainland China.

The Grand Prix Organising Committee believe that around 200 participants across six race categories are willing to undergo a Covid19 test and go into quarantine ‘if necessary’.
