Multiple AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin has been bailed after appearing in an Australian court on child sex charges.
The ex-Yoshimura Suzuki rider stands accused of four offences including sexual intercourse with a child under ten.
No plea has yet been entered but Mladin’s legal representatives said it would not be a plea of guilty when it happens.
After close to a fortnight behind bars, the Kirkham man was granted strict conditional bail in Campbelltown Local Court on the condition of his mum posting a bail surety of $50,000.
The 48-year-old has to be chaperoned by an adult when in the company of a child under the age of 16 and has also surrendered his passport.
