Aragon WorldSBK test: Locatelli mystified by two crashes

Pata Yamaha's Andrea Locatelli is mystified by two crashes in as many days at the Aragon WorldSBK test, one of which happened in a straight line.

The reigning WorldSSP champion wants to put this test out of his mind and focus on analysing the data collected in Spain.

"I just want to forget about this test. We'll now analyse the data to put together the best parts for my R1," said Locatelli, speaking at the track.

“On both days I had weird falls, I felt sorry for my mechanics and for my team because we had to stop the test to fix the bike. That's why we had to switch back to old parts and didn't get to drive that much.

“The problem with the falls was that we couldn't see why I was falling. On Monday the wind could have been the cause, on Tuesday my front wheel slipped and I have no clue why. It was so strange, I've never had a fall like this.

“In the end I was able to improve my lap time, but overall it was a strange test for me. It is as it is and we will now analyse all the information and prepare for the next test."
