Jack Kennedy is back on the Mar-Train Yamaha R1 as Brands Hatch wraps up the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship season.

After securing the Quattro Plant British Supersport title two rounds early - for his fourth Championship celebration - the Dubliner made his Superbike debut with direct technical support from Yamaha Motor UK via GYTR Pro Shop Raceways Motorcycles (McAMS Yamaha) at Donington Park last time out and is targeting points this weekend ahead of a full season in the top class in 2023.

“I’m really looking forward to riding the Mar-Train Yamaha Racing R1 again now that I’ve had time to process and digest all the data from Donington,” Kennedy confirmed. “I feel that we are going into Brands with a little more knowledge whereas Donington we were going in completely blind.

“I’m definitely more at ease, not as nervous, and slightly more confident going into this weekend. The weather forecast is looking positive which I am delighted about as I want to get as many dry laps in as I can as I feel that is the next step to build confidence with the bike.

“My aim this weekend is to try and bring home some point score finishes.”

“This weekend Chrissy Rouse is massively in my thoughts along with his family and friends,” Kennedy continued. “It’s going to be weird not seeing him and racing with him. The tributes are going to be tough as everyone is missing him.”
