Dan Linfoot is ready to bag a big points haul at this weekend’s Brands Bennetts British Superbike round with his Santander TAG team confident they have fixed the issues that have dogged the Yorkshireman so far this season.

The Kent track isn’t a big fan of Linfoot and likes to damage him whenever possible but after a decent morning’s test at Knockhill, he believes he is in a good position.

“Brands Hatch is a place where the team and the bike have had a lot of success in the past so I’m encouraged by that history, and I’m really looking forward to getting on the bike and experiencing how strong it is around there,” said Linfoot.

Obviously as everyone knows we’ve had issues at the start of the season, in the races especially, but I’m ready to get a good load of points on the board for the Championship.

“The test on Monday was cut short due to heavy rain in the afternoon so really we only had three runs in the morning. But don’t get me wrong to say we had three sessions my lap times were good, and we were close to where we need to be, so that is encouraging.

“We still have some work to do at Brands, we’re still trying things, but I’m definitely excited for the weekend.”
