Cadwell BSB: Irwin breaks into Superstock top ten

Former British Motocross Champion Graeme Irwin broke into the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 top ten for the first time in his debut road racing season at Cadwell Park - and challenged Josh Brookes for biggest Mountain air to boot.

Irwin switched to tarmac racing this year after calling time on the dirt and last weekend saw the Irishman bag his best qualifying and best race result so far.

“Graeme had an absolutely fantastic weekend, his best of the season to date," said Team 109 chief Paul Tobin.

"He managed to secure his best ever qualifying on Saturday before taking his best ever race result on Sunday onboard the Kawasaki ZX-10RR. We knew he had the pace these last couple of rounds to run inside the top fifteen, possibly push for the top ten, and this weekend he proved that was the case.

"He also proved to be a fan favourite over the weekend with his style over the mountain. Onwards again for Graeme at Oulton where hopefully he’ll have another strong weekend."
