Former Moto2 and WorldSSP star Gino Rea will ride for the Bike Devil MV Agusta team at Cadwell Park’s Bennetts British Superbike round this weekend.
Rea got the call yesterday after team principal Dave Tyson was forced to dispense with the services of Danny Kent when he received a suspended jail term for knife crime.
“We have agreed with Gino Rea to do the weekend together. I’d like to thank Gino for stepping in and coming away from his team to help us out,” said Tyson.
Rea, who has been spinning laps in World Endurance, rode in the test yesterday and ended the opening free practice session in 21st place, 2.7s off the pace.
