Josh Brookes is synonymous with massive leaps over Cadwell Park's Mountain - occasionally wearing a cape - but the Australian Bennetts British Superbike rider says the Lincolnshire track is tough on bike set-up.
Brookes has an up and down relationship with the circuit, taking a double win in his championship year but not standing on the podium since - something he aims to remedy this weekend.
“Setting a bike up for Cadwell is always a compromise as you have the jump and the really tight stuff where you need one setting, then the flat-out straights and fast corners where you ideally need another setting," said Brookes.
Remember this is a brand-new bike and I’m not sure how it will perform until we get some laps under our belt and get the sort of race set-up we will need to challenge for wins.
"But I always enjoy racing there and do my best to try to put on a show over the Mountain for the fans.”
Brookes has an advantage over series leader and team-mate Scott Redding, who hasn't raced at Cadwell before, and will hope to claw back some of the 20-point lead the former MotoGP star enjoys at the top of the table.
