Barni Ducati’s Leon Camier has undergone successful surgery on the shoulder he injured at the Aragon WorldSBK test last month.
Although doctors had stated that no surgery would be needed, further examinations suggested that an operation would be necessary to enable a full and faster recovery.
Stabilising the shoulder and repairing the two torn tendons, Camier’s festive period has been a productive one.
Camier has already been discharged from hospital and will now look to heal in time for the season-opening round at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Australia.
His team will likely call again on the services of Michele Pirro at the upcoming Jerez and Portimao tests.
