Lorenzo Dalla Porta will move up to the Moto2 class in 2020 after signing a deal with the Italtrans squad - rejoining former Leopard Racing teammate Enea Bastianini.
Dalla Porta currently leads the lightweight class standings by 14 points after picking up seven podiums so far - including a win in Germany - and heads into his home round at Misano – a race he was able to claim a maiden Grand Prix victory at in 2018 – and can now fully focus on continuing his charge towards his first World Championship title.
“I’m very happy to join Italtrans Racing Team. It's a reference team in Moto2 and I’m so proud to race in the category with them," said Dall Porta.
"It’s a great emotion. I hope it will be an important year getting good results. Thanks to the whole team for the support.”
