Danny Kent secures British Superbike ride with MV Agusta Parramatta

Former Moto3 World Champion Danny Kent will join the Bennetts British Superbike grid at Snetterton after signing a deal with the MV Agusta Parramatta team.

Kent, who has been in the wilderness since the end of 2018, joins Dave Tyson’s operation after the burly Hampshireman struck an agreement with MV Agusta Reparto Corse in Italy and a private owner to use Leon Camier’s 2016 F4 WorldSBK machine.

“I want to thank everybody in the team for the opportunity. I didn’t think anything would come around this year after the opportunity I thought I would have didn’t happen,” said Kent.

“Now it’s time to get strong, get some testing done some testing and look forward to Snetterton where I’ve not been since 2006. Can’t wait to get out on the MV Agusta F4RC.”

Tyson secured the use of the bike from a private owner Sam Nehme at Sweda Business and also has the backing of Australian MV dealer Parramatta, based in the suburbs of Sydney. A title sponsor will be announced in coming weeks.

“We start this project now so next year we can do the full season and also the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT with MV Agusta,” said Tyson.

“We have the 2016 Camier bike with more support coming from Reparto Corse in the near future. Without the whole team, Sam and Dave in Australia, and Gavin and Jay this project couldn’t have come together.”
